THOUGHTS ON VAJRAYANA AND THE INNER GURU
If one practices Vajrayana with sufficient humility and integrity, the Inner Guru is sufficient to act as guiding teacher. Always nice, of course, to have an Authentic teacher in the flesh. But even without such a Tangible teacher, one can, for example, learn a lot from tantric texts and commentaries, and one can fruitfully employ them as guides for personal meditation, mantra chanting, deity visualization, yogic techniques (including pranayama), and accessing the Familiars in The Chakra Spinal Totem Pole.
If, for example, one has been an adept, a siddhia, perhaps even a mahasiddha, in previous lifetimes, the Inner Guru (likely in conjunction with a Mahatma Group of Angelic Allies) is more than sufficient to act as a Tantric Teacher Guide. Keeping a dream journal helps, and even better to is cultivate the practice of Lucid Dreaming.
Probably best to not let others tell you what's impossible. As William Blake said ... "The paranormal is normal." .... and we all have the innate capacity to actualize our dormant potential for the realization of the multimodal, multidimensional beings that we already are. As Blake also said (and Buddha taught) ... All we have to do is "cleanse the doors of perception."
